Beyond Massage
Transformational Bodywork

The goal of this type of bodywork is to create body awareness and connectedness, to fully become alive in the whole body. It's a processing work on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level. This kind of work is for you if you want to:

  correct postural imbalances

release old blockages from your body

establish a new relationship between body and mind

tap into your vast energetic and self-healing resources

Why change?

Why would you want to live in your wole body --instead of having your body just carrying around your brain?

Indeed for some situations and jobs it might be better to stay numb. But not in the long run. Our bodies are made to experience pleasure, joy, stimulation and an energy flow of ease..

Too many times that energy flow is hindered either by imbalances in the posture created out of the need to cope with difficult situations (usually during earlier development).
It's also hindered by the identity and beliefs which are usually built around it, too. [E.g. a belief that says it's dangerous to show feelings and an identity that prohibits the energy flow.

The Body-Mind Action:

Let's say someone with very tight legs, specially the calves ,will not have a good connection to the ground and therefore not experience the full support of earth. (It's another chapter to explore the reasons for such a condition) .
He/she will try to make up for it by using and developing more the upper part of the body. He/she may also create a - rather unconscious- belief like "I am a failure " or "Life is hard" and as a consequence may develop an identity around control, that allows him/her to compensate and not feel weakness or failure or hardship. But at the expense of his/her legs!

The Intention of Integrated Bodywork is to undo this process.

In this case , the goal would be to understand the origin of the problem, to loosen up the grip of the control so that the body can relax , to release the energy held in the legs and to create an identity that allows upper and lower half of the body to work together.
