Bodywork Skills

Basic Skills: In California commonly referred to as Swedish_Esalen Massage; studied at Massage School, Berlin, Germany

Breath Therapy: Learning Body Awareness through the Breath. At the Middendorf Institute, Berlin, Germany

Thai Massage: At Massage School, Chiang Mai, Thailand. In a way it's like yoga being done to you.

Postural Integration: Studying Deep Tissue Bodywork with Jack Painter enabled me to read the posture of the body, its lines of tension and imbalances and its implications of personal/emotional development. Having the deeper layers of connective tissue and muscles cooperating with the outer layers of locomotion allows for movements that are smoother, more at ease, more elegant and energetic.

Chi Nei Tsang: Taught by Mantak Chia and the Berkeley Institute of CNT, is a visceral energy work embedded in the Chinese 5 Element System. It's purpose is to tonify the inner organs and to release blockages around the navel. The atmosphere in which the inner organs live is crucial to their happiness and therefore to the well-being of the person. Nobody wants to live in jail, on a dumping ground or in a crammed subway - neither do the organs. But often they end up that way. With CNT I learned to detoxify the visceral environment and to release tension and emotional charges held there.

Coaching Skills

Hypnotherapy: Im using Hypnotherapy tools to access more unconscious parts of the person by inducing a trance state in order to
- recover data lost through 'crashes'
- to detect 'viruses' = sabotaging parts of the person who don't support health or healing
- to connect with deeper, richer, more resourceful places inside the body/mind.

NLP Neuro Linguistic Programming: Through NLP I learned how thoughts, beliefs and habits influence the way we live our lives and as a consequence our health. Also how language represents our beliefs and the relationship to our bodies. ("The way we perceive the problem is the problem"). Richard Bandler:" Human beings do not operate behaviorally directly upon the world. They rather operate through a map or model of the world, a created representation of what we believe the world to be." Some of these maps are effective and furnishing health, others are impoverishing, inducing imbalance or illnesses. It seems like by the time of 40-50 years these maps are deeply ingrained in the human body. But...its never too late to make changes.
